Earn With Top 5 Legit Micro Jobs Websites

In today’s world, everyone wants to Make money online to be able to fulfill their needs. A student may work for pocket money, a housewife for properly utilizing her free time, whereas working professionals may do it for some extra income over their Regular Jobs.  However, not everyone has the skills to complete Freelance Technical Jobs. For them, Micro Jobs become a better option since they pay a very decent amount for the efforts put in.

WHAT ARE MICRO JOBS?

Micro Jobs are tasks that can be completed in few minutes. The tasks are very simple and most people, with just basic knowledge of internet, can do it.

WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO?

You may be asked to do any of the following things
– Sign up on Some Websites
– Sign up for Newsletters
– Like or share something on Facebook and Google Plus
– Tweet or retweet something
– Make posts on forum
– Create a Gmail or Yahoo account for someone
– Rate an Android or IOS application etc.

HOW DO MICRO JOB WEBSITES WORK?

The concept is very simple. The websites which offer Micro Jobs, have two types of people registered with them

1. Employer: A Person who wants to get a task done
2. Worker: A Person who wants to earn money by completing tasks

The employer posts the task on the Microjobs website after depositing the payment to be made to the worker. This payment is kept with the Microjobs website to avoid non-payment issues. The worker may then search tasks at the website and choose the one which he is capable of completing. After completion of the task, as per the Employer’s demand, a worker will have to submit certain proofs of completing the task. The Employer then Review’s the proof to check if the worker actually completed the Job.

If the Job has been successfully completed, he then marks the Job as complete, and the Micro job website releases the Payment to the worker. The website usually charges the employer a small percentage. Workers are not charged anything. In the case of any disputes, you may contact the Website, who will at its sole discretion settle the same.

To be able to earn money you should register yourself as Worker.

HOW MUCH CAN I EARN WITH MICRO JOBS?

The pay depends on the complexity of the task, more complex the task, higher is the pay. The average pay per task in US/UK is normally around 0.5$ whereas for India and other Asian nation; it is around 0.10$ per task

Most people in US/UK can easily make up to $100 per month by just working for a couple of hours. If you are from developing countries like India, Pakistan, Philippines, Nigeria, Kenya, etc., the pay will be slightly less. Indians can earn up to $20-30 (Rs 1000-1500) per month by working a couple of hours.

HOW WILL I GET PAID?

Each website lists down the mode of payments it offers. However, most people prefer Paypal as it secure and universally accepted mode of payment. If you are not already registered, do Register with Paypal.

For Indians who are not sure how to verify your Paypal account as per Indian government rules, you can check out my article on How To Register And Verify Account For Paypal In India, which explains the procedure with screenshots.

TOP 5 MICRO JOBS WEBSITES

There are many websites which offer micro jobs. I have listed down only the Top 5 Companies which are legitimate and provide enough opportunities for you to make money

1. Amazon Mechanical Turk

MicroJobs At Mturk

Mechanical Turk, Popularly known as Mturk is the most reliable website for Micro Jobs as it is owned by Amazon. Also, the pay per task at Mturk are generally higher than other Micro Jobs website.

At Mturk, Micro Jobs are called, Human Intelligence Tasks or HITs. The person who posts the task is called Requester and  the person who performs the task is called Worker.

You have the option to either register as Worker or Requester. To earn money with Mturk, you need to first Register with Amazon.com. If you are already registered you can directly sign in through your Amazon account. You will then have to send a request to register yourself as Worker. Amazon will review your request and may either approve or reject it at its sole discretion.

No one apart from Amazon knows the criteria for approving or rejecting requests. However, requests of people from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and most other parts of Asia are generally denied, a fact which Amazon.com has denied. People from US/UK and other Tier 1 countries should definitely Register with Mturk.

2. Microworkers

Micro Jobs At Microworkers

For those who are unable to register on Mturk, Microworkers is considered to be the best and a most reliable Alternative to Mturk. The pay rate per task for of Microworkers is very good, especially in US, UK, and other Tier 1 countries. But for Indian and other developing nations too,  Pay per task is decently good.

At Microworkers, the Job to be done is called Task. The person posting the task is called Employer and person performing the task is called Worker.

Microworkers offers common Registration for both workers and Employers. While registering make sure you enter correct information including address, as Microworkers will mail you a PIN to your address which you will have to enter to withdraw your earning for the first time. This process is to ensure, there are no duplicate accounts.

The minimum Withdrawal amount at Microworkers is $9 + Withdrawal Charges(7.5% for Paypal)

3. CrowdFlower

Microjobs At Crowdflower

CrowdFlower is another good source for completing Micro-Jobs. CrowdFlower offers you “tasks” through some third party websites which then pay you for the task. Among the websites offering Crowdflower tasks, Clixsense is the most trusted website.

The pay per task is generally low for beginners at Level 0. As you complete more tasks, depending upon your performance you will be promoted to newer levels. Once at Level 1, you have many to complete and the pay per task too improves a lot. At Level 1 and above one can easily make $1-$1.5 per hour. However, you need to be very patient with it, as reaching level 1 may take up to 2 months.

Clixsense also runs a contest wherein the Top 3 people who complete the highest number of tasks are awarded.  Also, Clixsense provides you with an extra opportunity to earn by completing Surveys.

You can find more information about ClixSense in my Review Of ClixSense. That will give you an Idea about how you can maximize your earnings at ClixSense

4. RapidWorkers

Rapidworkers is another good website for Micro Jobs. Its interface is very similar to Microworkers but with few important features missing.

CONCLUSION

Mturk and Microworkers are by far the best sites for Micro Jobs. However, with Microworkers, tasks will be limited and you may not be able to work for more than 1-2 hours a day.

CrowdFlower may not offer good pay per task for level 0, But once you reach Level 1, pay per tasks increase drastically and you have enough tasks to work for 8-10 hours per day.

I didn’t receive OTP in my jio sim while registering with miceoworkers. Someone told me it’s because of default DND mode activated in our sim cards. What’s the actual problem and how to solve?

I don’t think it has anything to do with DND. But yes, even I do struggle sometimes with both Outgoing and Incoming SMS on Jio. The issue is most likely network related. You can either wait for some time or try using some other number.

You can try Microworkers and crowdflower microjobs at Clixsense.

    Hi Valentine,
It totally depends on the employer to select countries from which he wants people to complete the Job. Most employers prefer workers from the USA and other developed countries. You can do nothing about it/

I am sorry Kit, I have not done research on it. There are hundreds of such websites which start and close down on a daily basis. My advice would be to work only with websites which have been around for at least 3-4 years.

i was registering at microworkers and had a problem while verifying my number. i did not received the verification PIN on my number. i asked for pin 2 times and now i have exhausted my limit of asking to send pin for free. have any idea about how to solve this issue

    Aquif Shaikh - February 22, 2016

I did not face any such issues so I was not even aware about the limited attempts thing.

Have you completed any tasks at Microworkers? If not, I would suggest that you create another account with different Email ID. Make sure to clear your cookies and reset your connection so that your IP Address is changed.

In case, you have completed many tasks, you may write to Micro Workers customer support and explain them the situation. Chances are slim, but they may resend you verification pin. Hope you get it sorted out.

Hi, is there any legitimate site for data entry and form filling. I have heard that money is good in these kind of jobs.

Reply
    Aquif Shaikh - February 13, 2016

    Hi Abhishek,
I would rather say money is very less in Data Entry and Form Filling Jobs. There must be Hundreds of websites which claim to offer High Paying Data Entry Jobs. However, most of these websites are scams. They will ask you to deposit money and will never give you any such Jobs.

The only websites which offer Data Entry Jobs with good pay are Upwork and Freelancer.com. however, those Jobs are not plain data entry. You need to have excellent command over MS office products and preferably have an MS office certification. But even with the best skills and certificates, it will not be very easy to get these Jobs because of the competition Involved.
